Caring Wolves
WARRINGTON Wolves players are taking the Challenge Cup along to the town centre Marks and Spencer store on Monday to raise money for the special care baby unit at Warrington Hospital. Players will be there from 1.30pm.

Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 3, 11, 13 and 16. The jackpot prize went unclaimed and will be rolled-over to next week. A £25 consolation prize was won by a hospital worker.

Nature walk
THE Birchwood Partnership and Risley Moss Action Group are organising a free, guided walk on Risley Moss on Thursday, June 24 at 6pm. The walk starts from the visitor centre and more details are available at 07818 880150.

Hog roast
A HOG roast is taking place at Oughtrington Community Centre, Lymm today (Saturday) to raise money for a new roof at the centre. Tickets are £15 and include a hog roast and dessert. Details from Liz Wilson on 01925 753098.

Literary lunch
BOOK lovers can have lunch and meet author Carole Smailes at the Forget-Me-Not book shop at the CPS Centre, Culcheth today from 12.30pm. Caroline will be talking about her new book “Like Bees to Honey.”

Roof refusal
PLANNING chiefs have refused to give permission for the roof height to be raised at a property in Hapsford Close, Birchwood to accommodate a new first floor
