A FIRE crew from Warrington was called out last night to tackle another fire in the open.
Shortly after 9pm one fire engine attended from Warrington following reports of a small fire in the open off Longshaw Street.
On arrival, the crew used a water backpack to extinguish the flames.
It was one of many recent small fires in the open, many of which have been started deliberately.
Firefighters say each time they are called out to deal with a small nuisance fire it could prevent them from attending a more serious incident.
White watch were only 30 minutes into our night shift and called out to another deliberate fire on Bewsey Park, making the appliance unavailable to attend any other serious incidents in the area. 🔥
