The Warrington Central Six masterplan is a long-term project that aims to bring communities within the area together to achieve a cleaner, greener, healthier Central Six area. It covers a wide range of project areas from parks to housing and air quality to employment. Running through all of it is a fundamental principle of making sure the communities that live in the different areas are fully involved in decisions and projects that happen there.
Central Six projects currently in delivery include: Safer Streets – Bewsey and Whitecross; Kingsway House, Latchford – refurbishment plans; Bewsey and Dallam Community Hub Development; Warrington Youth Zone; WBC Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan; Victoria Park 3G pitch
Omega Warrington is the largest mixed-use development site in the North West, extending to some 575 acres. They have entered into a long term development a-greement with Homes England and have developed in excess of 4m sq. ft. of commercial space to date.
The Master Plan also permits 1,400 homes of which some 600 have been sold to various national housebuilders. A 35-acre public park is at the heart of the scheme. The next phase of development will include a retail park that is scheduled to be completed later this year.
