IT may be Spring but the council gritters will be out on the roads of Warrington from 4pm today, with temperatures set to fall to below freezing.
With the weather forecast predicting freezing conditions, Warrington Borough Council gritters will be out on the main roads from 4pm, with motorists urged be aware of the road conditions and to drive safely.
It’s certainly a big change in the weather conditions which hit 23 degrees last week.
The forecast this evening is clear skies, leaving dry and calm conditions throughout thereafter. However, the lack of cloud will allow for another cold night, with widespread frost. Winds easing. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
The outlook for Wednesday: Cloud envelops the region through the morning, though patchy in nature allowing for sunny spells for most through the day. Light winds, but still feeling cold, yet remaining dry. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Some showers and overnight rain Thursday, but milder than recently. Rain followed by wintry showers on Friday. Early outbreaks of snow and hail Saturday, followed by wintry showers. Remaining cold.
