Firefighters called out three times to fight fires involving bins and rubbish

FIREFIGHTERS were called out three times yesterday, (Sunday) to fight fires involving bins and rubbish in the Warrington area.

Just before 1pm one fire crew from Warrington was called out to tackle a rubbish fire near to Station Road, Latchford.
They used a water backpack to put the fire out.



At 13:19 One fire engine from Penketh attended a wheelie bin fire in Lingley Green Avenue, Great Sankey.
A water backpack was used to put out the fire. The fire crew was at the scene for 10 minutes.
Then at 16:22 one fire engine from Birchwood was called to reports of a garden waste recycling bin on fire in Loushers Lane, Latchford.
They used a hose reel jet to put the fire out and were at the scene for 10 minutes.
