Road closures set for Stockton Heath and Padgate

ROAD closures are set to take place in Stockton Heath and Padgate to allow United Utilities to carry out works.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce prohibition of driving road closures on Ellesmere Road in Stockton Heath, from its junction with Stretchworth Road to its junction with Ellesmere Road Passageway Gable of 133.



The Order will be effective from 6th April 2021 for 5 days, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Stretchworth Road, Worsley Road, Ellesmere Road Passageway Gable of 133 and vice versa. The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to carry out new water connection work.
The council has also made a road closure order on Springfield Avenue, Padgate from its junction with Green Lane to its junction with Kenilworth Drive.
The Order will be effective from 6th April 2021 for 3 days, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Kenilworth Drive, Devonshire Road, Bruche Avenue, Padgate Lane, Green Lane and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow for United Utilities to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.
