A YOUNG Warrington woman who lost her four front teeth after being head-butted by a teenage girl, in a brutal attack, has expressed her disappointment on hearing her attacker is set to be released early from a young offender institution.

The teenager, who was 17 at the time of the incident, will have served less than half of an 18-month sentence she received for carrying out the attack on Kerry-Ann Farren on Bennett’s Recreation ground last June.
Earlier this week, Kerry-Ann received a phone call saying her attacker would be released next week.

Kerry-Ann, aged 21, was attacked on Bennett’s Recreation ground on June 24 last year while she was having a socially distanced picnic with friends when they were verbally abused by a group of teenagers.
A teenage girl then walked up to Kerry-Ann and head-butted her in the face.
She received an 18-month sentence, half to be in a young offenders institution and was not due to be released until May – but now she will be released early next week.
Expressing her disappointment at the news of the early release Kerry-Ann said: “I have a restraining order against her for life and she will be on tag until February 2022.
“But the 18 months she was given is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
“Disappointed doesn’t even begin to express how I feel. I still don’t have my front four teeth and have had to go through unbearable amounts of pain and yet she’s going to be out and about.
“I will have to have my dental implants replaced every 5-10 years.
“There’s nothing more I can do now but no amount of anger can change the past. And no amount of anxiety can change the future.”
