Woman suffers serious injuries following M62 incident near Winwick

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following an incident near the junction of the M62 at Winwick earlier today, which resulted in the motorway being closed.

Emergency services, including the air ambulance, attended at the scene following concerns for the safety of a woman between junctions 9 and 10 of the M62.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At around 11.15am on Tuesday 23 March police were called to reports of concern for the safety of a woman between junction 9 to junction 10 of M62.



Officers and paramedics attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries described as serious but non-life-threatening.
