Soldier returns to home town

TROOPER Samuel Bruce, aged 18, from Warrington, has just finished a 12 month apprenticeship at the Army Foundation College. He attended the college after completing his basic training at Bovington, where he became a qualified tank driver.
He returns to his home town today (Monday) to chat to anyone interested in joining the Army about what life is really like – and whether it is the career for them, or not.
It’s part of a national initiative called Satisfied Soldier, where the soldiers aim to give an honest insight into Army life to people considering joining.
