A diversity project director and local GP, who are both passionate about their community, have announced they are standing in Westbrook at the forthcoming elections.

Warrington Conservative Federation has announced that the Director of the Conservative Diversity Project Marta Paszkowska and NHS GP Dr Nisha Shah will be standing in Westbrook in the Warrington Borough Council elections on May 6.
Dr Shah has lived locally for 23 years and is passionate about the local area. Marta is a local community champion and full-time carer.
Marta and Nisha will be campaigning to fix potholes in Westbrook, to prevent Council Tax rises and to keep green spaces in Westbrook clean and tidy which also means encouraging and educating dog owners to clean up after their dog.
Nisha has helped provide food for those who have been shielding during the lockdown.
Nisha commented: “I decided to stand as a Councilor because I want to make a difference and be involved in shaping the future of our local community. I want to represent the views of local people and ensure that the community gets the right services.
“As a General Practitioner, I think I am well placed to raise the issues through the skills and experience I have gained in my profession. I plan to use my experience in resolving the issues or problems that we have locally in Westbrook.
Marta said: “I am really excited to be standing in Westbrook here in Warrington, we have such a vibrant and diverse community. Residents deserve more than the current Labour ran Warrington Borough Council.
“I plan to bring my energy and experience to the Council. The Council needs transformation and new ideas. I will not sit back and watch the community that I love not receive the services that are deserved.
Chair of Warrington Conservative Federation Wendy Maisey OBE said: “We are very lucky to have Nisha and Marta standing for the Conservatives in Westbrook. They are both very impressive individuals and will make absolutely outstanding Councillors making sure residents of Westbrook are heard.”
