Firefighters tackle grass fire at Paddington Meadows

FIREFIGHTERS from Warrington were called today following reports of a fire in the open at Paddington Meadows shortly before 1pm.

On arrival, the crew found an area of grass well alight.
A water backpack and beaters were used to extinguish the flames.
No details have been given on the cause of the fire.
