Discarded cigarette believed to have caused fire at Bewsey property

A discarded cigarette is believed to have started a fire during the early hours of this morning at a property in Bewsey, Warrington.

Shortly after 2am two fire engines from Warrington and Penketh attended to a fire at a property on Rixton Avenue.
A hose reel was used to put out the flames and damp down the area.
Everyone inside the property was accounted for.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a discarded cigarette.
Meanwhile, in another incident, one fire engine attended from Warrington attended a small fire in the open at Orford shortly after 6pm on Monday evening.
Crews used a hose reel to extinguish the small fire on Cleveland Road.
