WARRINGTON and Halton Green Party leader Lyndsay McAteer has welcomed the new guidance issued by Government which will allow candidates to campaign safely on the doorstep and to get their message across through leafleting, from 8th March onwards.

This is the first full Council elections in Warrington since 2016 and people need to have their say on local issues, says the local Green Party Group Leader.
Lyndsay said: “We have some fantastic Green Party candidates standing for election to Warrington Borough Council. Whilst safety is our primary concern, it’s important that we are able to communicate with the public and to put our agenda forward. We look forward to the debate, and to be given the ability to run a winning campaign in all the seats that we are contesting.”
A full list of who is standing and in which seats, will follow soon.

Election campaigning and leafleting to be allowed from March 8
