WARRINGTON Borough Council is bidding to resolve an unsightly “wall of mud” issue at Winwick.

As reported by warrington-worldwide the “wall of mud” constructed with metal barrels appeared on land at Birch Avenue, Winwick, much to the horror of local residents and former Mayor of Warrington Geoff Settle, who is also Chair of Warrington Nature Conservation Forum (WNCF).
Mr Settle was “dumbfounded and horrified” by the “wall of mud” made up by barrels, saying style of construction reminded him of the 6ft wall made up of old tyres near Kingsway Bridge a few years ago.
A Warrington Borough Council spokesperson said: “We have made contact with the landowner to try to resolve the situation and to request the removal of the barrels. We will consider the next appropriate step to take if they are not removed.”
