POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a young boy was threatened and robbed of his bicycle outside a Warrington leisure centre at the weekend.
The 14 year old local boy, who had gone swimming in Fordton Leisure Centre, Chiltern Road, with a group of friends during the hot afternoon.
While in the pool, the victim and his friends started chatting to two boys, one aged about 14 and the other younger, at around 11 years of age. Later in the changing rooms one of these two boys hit one of the victim’s friends. However, he subsequently apologised, and the two offenders left the Leisure Centre.
The victim and his group of friends left the leisure centre shortly afterwards, parting company at the entrance, leaving the victim and one of his
friends behind. At this point the two boys were again approached by the two offenders. They demanded that the boys hand over their bicycles. When the boys refused, the two offenders then threatened them with violence.
The victim’s friend managed to break free and cycle away. However, the two offenders stole the bike belonging to their 14 year old victim, before he managed to run from them. As a result of the incident the victims were not injured, but they were left shaken.

He wore black shorts, black socks, and black trainers with velcro fasteners.
His accomplice is also white, but tanned in appearance. He is shorter – around 5′ 5″ – and stockier than the older boy, but not fat.
