Search for garden tipsters

AN online competition has been launched – to try an unearth the hidden knowledge of amateur gardeners.
Glazebury-based Bents Garden and Home believe some of the best gardening tips are to be had from regular gardening enthusiasts.
So their online competition will offer prizes for the best tip each month – Bents vouchers worth £20 each.
They are looking for any gem of knowledge that could help other gardeners in their quest for the perfect environment; anything from plant care advice and recommendations for weed control to how to get the best bloom and biggest crop.
Managing director Matthew Bent said: “Between them our garden care experts have a huge amount of knowledge, but we’re sure there are still some hidden gems out there waiting to be told.
“We’re looking for tips that have been passed down the generations, helpful hints that have been created in response to an individual’s own problem. Whatever they are we want to hear so we can share them with other gardeners and see gardens flourish.”
Details for entry can be found in-store and online at www.bents.co.uk
