Fire crews called out to washing machine fire

TWO fire crews were called out following reports of a washing machine on fire at a domestic property in Birchwood, Warrington.

Shortly before 4.30pm yesterday, Tuesday, two crews, one from Birchwood and one from Lymm, attended a report of a fire involving a washing machine at a domestic property in Fieldfare Close, Birchwood.
On arrival there was smoke coming from the machine but no signs of fire.
Firefighters disconnected the washing machine and made sure that it was safe.
They were in attendance for around 15 minutes.
