FIREFIGHTERS attended to reports of residents needing to be rescued from flooding at a property on Winwick Road, Warrington shortly after 10am this morning.
Two swift-water teams from Lymm were deployed with a raft to reach those stranded.
One elderly lady was rescued at her home on Densham Drive. One man and a woman along with a dog were also rescued from another address on the same street.
They were handed into the care of housing.
Meanwhile, Police are warning residents about an exposed manhole cover under the water where Densham Avenue meets Gough Avenue, and telling people to avoid at all costs as is “very dangerous.”
Police are also advising residents to stick to footpaths in Orford Park if out exercising due to a number of “new lakes” which have appeared.

Flooding around Densham Ave is still really bad, roads are closed for a reason because as your drive through it, it pushes the water towards and into the houses causing damage to their homes pic.twitter.com/2RAIQQAqt4
