Help wanted for community project

A LOCAL trader is hoping to get colleagues to donate materials and time to keep costs down for a project at Oughtrington Community Centre.
An outdoor activity area for pre-school children is being provided and up to £7,000 has been allocated for the project, according to landscape gardener James Slavin.
But because of his connections with the area, James, of J C Slavin Landscape and Garden Maintenance, will do some of the work free. He is trying to get free or discounted materials from other tradesmen.
James said work to be carried out includes removing scrubs which could injure children, clearing the site, fencing and providing raised planters. He said he hopes to keep costs down so that money can go to other centre projects.
