Culcheth Community Day success

0

CULCHETH Community Day proved to be a huge success attracting thousands of people to the village.

Organised by Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council the event was opened by the chairman of the Parish Council,

Coun Sue Bland.
The event attracted mixed weather with glorious sunshine, heavy showers and even hailstones!
As well as a large variety of stalls, all from local

charities and organisations, there was plenty of action in the main

arena including children’s entertainer Trumble the Clown (pictured right), a brass band, tug-o-war, pet

show and the star attraction “H & M Dog Display Team” which has

performed at Southport Flower Show as well as Crufts.
There was

also a selection of classic cars as well as motor bikes and

fairground rides for the younger children.
The event is organised each year to allow local groups to display what they have on offer and to network with the local community.
