Lorry driver trapped for an hour on motorway

A LORRY driver was trapped for an hour on the M62 at Warrington after a jack collapsed while he was changing a tyre.
The man was trapped by the hand on the motorway at Winwick.
Fire engines from Birchwood and Lymm were sent to the scene and found the man with his hand trapped between the tyre and the jack.
Firefighters used specialist stretching equipment to release the man who was not thought to have suffered any serious injuries.
The incident lasted about one hour at 5.20pm last night (Sunday)
