Freemasons’ £1,800 food donation to Warrington Foodbank

FREEMASONS at Warrington have presented almost 500 bags of food worth nearly £1,800 to the town’s Foodbank.

The food was collected from Freemasons and their friends or purchased from a local supermarket with donated money. It was not a collection from members of the public.
Freemasons have been collecting goods on a weekly basis since the start of the lockdown in March, but this latest donation was as a result of a special drive during November.
The bagged items were handed over to the Foodbank who were overwhelmed by the amount that had been collected.
A spokesperson said: “This will make a massive difference to the very vulnerable in our society, especially in the run-up to Christmas.”
