WARRINGTON Wolves showed their commitment to team nutrition when they held a healthy eating ‘ladies night’ for the families of players.
Women at the club were treated to a ‘Healthy Eating and Cooking’ session in the Heathcotes kitchens at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Players’ families and office staff watched a presentation by nutritionist Wal Herring while Heathcotes chefs prepared healthy meals for a tasting session later in the evening.
Cottage pie, coconut milk chicken soup, pork chop with haloumi cheese, and salad were all on the menu.
Co-operative Food supplied the ingredients and donated goody bags for everyone to take away with them including healthy foods, recipe cards and cosmetics.
Brian Carney, Wolves’ player welfare and services manager, said: “This event illustrates the club’s emphasis on the importance of the players and their families nutritional welfare.”
