A SPEED limit of 20mph has been introduced on a dozen roads in a busy part of Warrington
The entire lengths of the following roads in Sankey Bridges are affected by the reduced speed limit: Barnard Street, Forrest Way, Sunflower Drive, Snowberry Crescent, Marigold Place, Poppyfields, Buttercup Close, Larkspur Close, Tulip Grove, Lavender Gardens, Honeysuckle Avenue and Bluebell Road
Speed restrictions increased

No problem with the speed restrictions however I think the council are not providing sufficient sign-age for this unusually low speed limit which seems to be just a driver trap. their should be the full size signs as well as road painting such as those adopted by other councils. I believe cameras were set up on long lane to TRAP motorist last week, this is just WRONG. I have driven up Long lane several times over the past month and only last week found out it was 20..Just lucky I suppose not to have been caught previously.
I totally agree with richiepoo, I live in the Saxon Park development and did not even realise they were planning speed restrictions on Forrest Way and Barnard Street – they should be very clearly marked. I guess it would have been a nice surprise to see a traffic bobby holding a hairdryer towards me on my way home from work!
on the forrest way road they is a school but no one seems to be taking notice of the 20mph speed limit. some people try to break the land spped record. people need to open their eyes the speed limit is posted all along that route. every one need to slow down before an accident is caused. if people havent noticed they is also yellow lines, a pelican crossing and other road furnature to slow you down.?may be it needs a police officer with a speed gun.
