A Warrington beautician working from home and one of her clients have both been fined by police for breaching lockdown restrictions.

Officers attended an address in the Warrington area yesterday, (Nov) 12 following reports that a woman was operating a beauty business from her home.
Under the new lockdown regulations, all beauty businesses must close until Wednesday, December 2, when the government will review the restrictions.
A patrol attended at around 5pm and found the woman performing a beauty treatment on a client.
Officers engaged with the woman, explained the regulations and encouraged her and the client “to do the right thing” – but they continued.
Because of the blatant breach Police had no choice but to issue a fixed penalty notice to the woman and her client.
A police spokesperson said: “We never want to do this but this was the only way in which we could continue to keep the public safe and reduced the spread of the virus..
“Now more than ever we need to stick to the rules and reduce the spread of coronavirus.
“It’s a shame there are a small minority flouting the rules.”
