AN air cadet from Lymm is one of the first four to complete the newly relaunched RAF Air Cadet Pilot Scholarship (ACPS).

Sam Able is a Flight Sergeant in 2137 Lymm Squadron RAF Air Cadets.
He completed the scholarship by flying the Tutor T1 aircraft solo and gaining his Gold Flying Badge.
It was the first course delivered on the Tutor by the RAF’s No 6 Flying Training School and marks the first time ever that cadets have flown the Tutor T1 solo.
Sam is considering a career in the RAF after spending many years with the Air Cadets, first gaining his Glider Wings and now taking his first steps on the ladder to flying engined aircraft.
He was invited to dinner at the House of Lords in recognition of his achievements with the Cadets as well as meeting actor Tom Cruise at a summer air show.
