Police increasingly concerned for welfare of missing teenage girl

POLICE are appealing for help from the public in tracing a 17-year-old girl from Warrington who has been missing since October 1.

Melissa Wade (also known as Alex) was reported missing after she was last seen in the Forster Street area of Orford, Warrington, at around 9pm on Tuesday 1 October.

She is described as 5’ 4” tall, of a slim build, with black hair with purple in it, and was last seen wearing a black coat, grey joggers, sliders, and a beany hat.

Although she is residing in Warrington, she has links to Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Bedfordshire.

The Force’s Northern Duty Inspector said:“It has now been a few days since Melissa was last seen, and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.
“We are conducting a number of enquiries to locate her and would now like to appeal anyone who may have seen her since she went missing, or has any other information on her whereabouts to get in touch with us.
“We would also like to appeal directly to Melissa to get in touch to let us know you are OK.”
