Road works to be extended for up to three weeks due to site issues

ROAD works at Penketh Warrington are to be extended for up to three weeks due to site issues.

The closure of Coronation Drive, Penketh, is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out mains renewal and service transfer works.

Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 22nd August 2024. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Coronation Drive from its junction with Heath Road to its junction with Warrington Road.
The Order was effective from 2nd September 2024 for 4 weeks, however due to issues on site the works were not completed therefore are now required to remain in place for a further 3 weeks until 20th October 2024, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
