What the pop music of the 16th century sounded like

A CHANCE to hear what the pop music of the 16th century sounded like will come for local people at the next “Live at St Wilfrid’s” concert at Grappenhall on Thursday October 17.

The performance at St Wilfrid’s Church, in the village centre, will feature PIVA – The Renaissance Collective, a well-established ensemble of early music specialists.
Members of PIVA have wide and diverse musical backgrounds and between them have experience of playing classical, baroque, folk and roots music. They specialise in popular dance and ballad music of the late 16th century, giving it their own fresh and innovative approach to create music of the past played for today.
