Warrington-based charity PAPYRUS – Prevention of Young Suicide, has achieved the prestigious status of becoming an Includability Committed Employer.

The charity says the recognition demonstrates its commitment to treating people fairly, empowering its employees and creating an inclusive workplace.
PAPYRUS, a specialist suicide prevention charity which has regional offices and hubs across England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, now becomes part of a network of employers and partners which share the same ethos.
The verification process involved assessing performance across five key areas.

Louise Kerrigan, Head of People and Culture, said: “PAPYRUS is proud to have achieved the Includability Committed Employer status.
“We join a community of organisations dedicated to putting people and the planet first.
“We are delighted to have been recognised for our strengths in diversity and inclusion, sustainability, talent management, leadership and governance, mental health and wellbeing.
“We now look ahead to collaborating with our colleagues across the charity and within the Includability network to build on these areas going forwards.”

PAPYRUS aims to reduce the number of young people who take their own lives by breaking down the stigma around suicide and equipping people with the skills to recognise and respond to suicidal behaviour.
HOPELINE247 is the charity’s confidential helpline service, providing practical advice and support to young people with thoughts of suicide and anyone concerned about a young person who may have thoughts of suicide.
The charity says gaining the hard-earned status of Includability Committed Employer is a positive recognition of its ongoing work to create an inclusive and sustainable workplace culture.

PAPYRUS says it will be proud to display the Includability Committed Employer logo.
