VIDEO: The team behind Warrington Worldwide had a rare get-together to celebrate 25 years of free community online news and the monthly magazine with a photocall infront of the historic Golden Gates.

With remote working now the norm since the Covid-19 pandemic and flexible shifts, it was the first time all nine members of the team got together to celebrate 25 years of printing the free glossy magazine, which followed on from the launch of the first independent daily online newspaper in mainland Britain.

Co-founded by Freeman of Warrington David Skentelbery with his son Gary, it is now a third-generation family business with Gary’s daughter Hannah Skentelbery in charge of digital advertising.

The newest member of the team is experienced local, regional and national newspaper reporter Helen Bennicke, who focuses on local Government issues while completing the reporting team is James Gordon, who provides regular sporting updates on Warrington Wolves and Warrington Town.

The rest of the Warrington Worldwide team is made up of James Balme in sales, James Bryan in production, John Hopkins in photography and Kim Ravenscroft in accounts.

With their roots firmly set in Warrington, the team is passionate about the town.
