CHESHIRE Chord Company – an award winning women’s A Cappella choir based in Warrington – is to hold a fundraising concert in the town on Thursday, November 14.

The event is in aid of Music and Memory – a music group for people with dementia and their carers and one of Warrington’s original dementia friendly groups.
Music and Memory are run by volunteers and funded entirely by donations and singing has been shown to improve the quality of life of people with dementia.
Many people with dementia and their carers have said it helps them to “feel better.”

They will perform at the Salvation Army building in Academy Street, Warrington on November 14 at 7.30pm

Jackie Holbrook, secretary of Music and Memory, said “Music and Memory is all about using singing to bring together and help people affected by dementia.
“It is open to anyone in the Warrington area with dementia, their carers, family and friends. The aim is to provide a mutual, shared enjoyable experience.”
