College prepares to open its doors for Year 11 open evenings

Warrington & Vale Royal College is set to welcome Year 11 pupils and their families to its upcoming Open Evenings, starting on Wednesday 9th October.

As Warrington’s leading provider of technical education and skills training, there are over 100 technical courses and apprenticeships available, as well as the widest choice of T Levels in Warrington.
These popular events are a great opportunity for school leavers to get a real feel for this vibrant and inclusive college first-hand. Attendees will be able to explore state-of-the-art facilities, meet industry-expert tutors and discover the specialist training academies that are housed at the college’s two campuses.
Following over £13 million in recent investment, these academies provide young people with the essential skills required for careers the most in-demand employment sectors. These innovative academies include the Advanced Creative & Digital Skills Academy, two Health & Social Care Academies and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Academies at both Warrington & Winsford campuses. Set to launch later this year, there will be a Business & Professional Academy, Construction & Civil Engineering Academy and a Life Sciences Academy at Winsford campus’ new Institute of Technology, all equipped to blaze the trail of training the next generation of skilled workers in their sectors.

Warrington & Vale Royal College prides itself on being accessible to students by providing courses ranging from entry level to level 3 and T Level qualifications, which are equivalent to 3 A Levels. All of the courses on offer at the college focus on providing students with industry-relevant, knowledge and behaviours they need to succeed in their first choice of career. With its very own Apprenticeship Matching Service, the college became a Top 10 FE Provider for apprenticeship success in 2024 and has been recognised for the high-quality education they provide apprentices alongside their employment.
