LEGENDARY singer-songwriter Alexander O’Neal has sadly had to cancel his forthcoming farewell tour, which included Warrington, due to ongoing health issues.

He had been due to perform a rescheduled concert at Warrington’s Parr Hall a week on Sunday, after previously cancelling due to health issues.

A statement accouncing the cancellation said: “We are emailing you regarding your booking for Alexander O’Neal’s rescheduled Parr Hall show which was due to take place on Sunday, 22 September.
“It is with regret that we need to inform you that, due to the singer’s ongoing serious health issues and on doctor’s orders, this concert has now been cancelled.
“We realise how frustrating this will be for ticket holders, particularly as the performance had previously moved to a new date for similar reasons, but unfortunately the situation is completely out of our control.
“Thank you for your understanding and apologies for any inconvenience caused. We will be in touch with all ticket holders shortly regarding a full refund.”

The beloved American soul star, who came to prominence in the mid-80s with hits like If You Were Here Tonight, Criticize and Fake, was embarking on his ‘Time To Say Goodbye: Farewell World Tour’.
