Following an extensive and fully independent survey, family-owned and run Bents Garden & Home has been recognised as a Certified™ great workplace by Great Place To Work®, the global authority on workplace culture.

Great Place To Work works with companies of all sizes and from all around the world to survey their employees, helping to identify gaps and improve their culture.  Bents’ joins the likes of Aviva, Specsavers, Lindt & Sprüngli, and Hilton in achieving this recognition.
Bents’ colleagues were independently invited to take part in the confidential Trust Index™ employee survey, which provides data-driven insights on employees’ experience, and benchmarks which companies can use to measure themselves against top-performers in their sector and size.  Bents surpassed the benchmark required for Certification™, with 91% of Bents’ colleagues reporting that they were made to feel welcome when joining the company, and 9 in 10 agreeing colleagues are treated fairly, regardless of their sex, sexual orientation or race.

People are at the heart of the Great Place To Work model, where they can trust their employers, have pride in their work and enjoy the people they work with. Matthew Bent, Managing Director at Bents Garden & Home said: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved this recognition.  Everything about Great Place To Work aligns with our approach to colleagues and our fundamental belief in the importance of our people.  We consider each and every colleague to be part of the wider Bents’ family and we strive on being an exceptional place to work.”
Colleagues are also one of the Bents Ways, three objectives that form the beating heart of the Bents business; customers, colleagues and WOW, each of which has supporting commitments as to how to live and breathe the Bents Ways on a day to day basis.

Matthew added: “We were delighted to share this fantastic news with our colleagues and leaders and are looking forward to this opportunity for us to identify ways we can improve things even more for our colleagues in our strive to being exceptional, which we can monitor in our results again next year”.
