WARRINGTON Rylands travelled to distant Morpeth Town and secured their first win of the season 0-3 thanks to a Jake Burton five-minute hat-trick.

Although The Blues, playing in their away red, appeared unthreatened by The Highwaymen they were yet again unable to capitalise on their performance when in front of goal, despite several promising chances. Dan Langley in the Morpeth goal made some great saves to deny Rylands in the first half.

The second half continued in the same manner. James Baillie was fouled as he took a shot from outside the penalty area; he stepped up to take the free kick which bounced back into play off the crossbar as Langley stood rooted to the ground. The ball just would not go in the net.

Just when it looked as though Warrington would be returning home with another goalless draw Jake Burton, on as a substitute for Luke Porter, slid along the artificial grass to touch a Dylan Dwyer cross into the back of the net.

Four minutes later Jake celebrated his second and just one minute after that he secured the match-ball with his hat-trick.

Warrington Rylands are hoping to take back-to-back wins as they host Prescott Cables on Bank Holiday Monday at The Hive Arena.
