AN experimental parking permits-only scheme is set to be introduced on two roads at Lymm to tackle anti-social behaviour caused by long-stay commuter and car-sharing activities.
A long-standing issue has existed at Old Cherry Lane and Cherry Corner, Lymm for many years resulting in the anti-social behaviour and instances relating to criminality and a mixture of long-stay commuter/car-sharing activities.
This has resulted in accessibility issues for residents and a local business.
The Order will be effective from 5th September 2024 and will remain in force for a period not exceeding 18 months. Warrington Borough Council will be considering in due course, within the Experimental Order period, whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should continue in force indefinitely.
