Teenage boys arrested near Creamfields site with drugs and going equipped for theft

TWO teenage boys aged 15 were arrested by police near the Creamfields music festival site after they were spotted loitering by properties on Chester Road.

The teenagers were arrested by Project Servator officers on deployment near to the Creamfields site and were found in possession of a number of tools and drugs.

They were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class B drug and going equipped for theft.
Project Servator officers are specially trained to spot the tell-tale signs that someone is planning or preparing to commit an act of crime. It’s just one of the ways police are helping to reassure festival goers and keep people safe at Creamfields.

As reported yesterday, police have already recovered a large quantity of nitrous oxide and class A and B drugs concealed on the site.

The annual Creamfields music festival, described as the biggest in the UK, starts today, Thursday, with traffic expected to be heavy on locla roads and the M56 heading towards the Warrington area.

Around 80,000 dance music fans are heading for the festival – with a weather forecast of wind and rain!
