MORE footpath maintenance and improvement works are scheduled to take place at Appleton from September 2nd, for up to eight weeks.
It will result in footway and clearway closures on Fairways from its junction with Beechways and Pineways.
Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving, clearway and footway closure as follows: Fairways from its junction with Beechways for 50 metres; Beechways from a point 25 metres north of its junction with Fairways to 25 metres south of its junction with Pineways; Pineways from its junction with Beechways for 50 metres.
The Order will be effective from 2nd September 2024 for 8 weeks, between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative routes will be: Fairways via London Road, Dudlow Green Road, Beechways and vice versa; Pineways via Dudlow Green Road, Beechways and vice versa. The restrictions are required for footway maintenance/improvements.
