Fire crew tackle large bonfire at Fiddler’s Ferry believed to be fly-tipping materials

FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night to tackle a large bonfire at Fiddler’s Ferry at Cuerdley, Warrington, believed to involve fly-tipping materials.

At 21:41 one crew from Penketh attended at Fiddler’s Ferry

A large bonfire, believed to be fly tipping materials, was on fire and unattended.

Firefighters had to use water backpacks in relays to put out the flames as they had to make their way a significant distance on foot to reach the incident. Stack drags were also used to put out the 100 square metre fire.
