GRAPPENHALL missed out by just nine runs in a fiercely contest match at Alderley Edge.

Tom Bramhall, 3-27 and Joe Ashmore, 3-23, were the pick of Grappers’ bowlers.
Grappenhall lost a wicket without a run on the board but then Arav Shetty, 63 and Pete Barns, 47 put on 113 for the second wicket and the visitors hopes were high. But after that wickets tumbled with skipper Ben Bodha, 24 the only other batsman to get into double figures.
At 165-6 a win was still on the cards but the last four wickets added only 10 runs and Grappers were all out for 175.
