Road closure scheduled at Appleton for new Gas connection works

A residential road at Appleton, Warrington, is set to face traffic disruption for up to four days while Cadent Gas install a new Gas connection.

Work is scheduled to start on Cann Lane South at Appleton from September 10th for up to four days between the hours of 9;30am to 3:30pm.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Cann Lane South from its junction with Old Pewterspear Lane in a southerly direction to the end of adopted highway.
The Order will be effective from 10th September 2024 for 4 days, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to install a new Gas connection.
