UbiQ Group, which specialises in access solutions for those working at height or in challenging settings, has been sold in a deal advised upon by KBS Corporate.

Founded in 2018 and based in Stoke-on-Trent, the company’s motto is “UbiQuitous access solutions” for workers in confined spaces, on or near water or requiring rope access to carry out tasks such as inspections, surveys, maintenance and cleaning.
With a team of around 20, UbiQ operates nationally with major clients in a variety of sectors including highways, railways, civil engineering and energy, and has also worked on projects at the stadiums of Premier League football clubs Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton.
In a transaction overseen by Nathan Leah, KBS Corporate Associate Director, UbiQ has joined Warrington-based British Engineering Services (BES) Group’s Infrastructure Division.
BES has acquired UbiQ to further enhance its suite of end-to-end risk management solutions, having identified a reputation for delivering an excellent service to customers, focused on safety and sustainability, as a priority with which it was closely aligned.

Jamie Holland, UbiQ Group Director, commented: “We are extremely excited to become part of a business that focuses on the same things we do and has done for many years.
“Continuing to provide our customers with the same level of service is our ongoing priority and we are now looking forward to doing this with the support of BES Group.”
John Campbell, BES Group CEO, said: “We would like to extend a very warm welcome to the UbiQ team and we are extremely pleased to have them on board. They bring with them a range of impressive skills that will really support the wider BES Group.”
Nathan Leah was delighted to bring the transaction to a successful conclusion.
“It was a pleasure to work with Jamie Holland and Stuart Alcock (UbiQ directors) throughout the KBS project,” said Nathan. “They have built an excellent business which showed consistent growth and development from its foundation.
“BES Group was the perfect acquirer in reality and showed keen interest from our first engagement. It was a pleasure to work with them also.
“I wish all parties nothing but the best for the future and during the next stages of integration and development.
“A special thanks as always to Guvvy Sandhu and Harriet Jones of Mackrell Solicitors for their continued support, diligence and collaboration.”
