ROAD works at Fearnhead, Warrington, to allow Cadent Gas to carry out main renewals have been extended due to site issues.
An initial two-week closure at the end of June has now been extended for up to four weeks from August 26th
Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 20th June 2024. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Enfield Park Road (Eastbound) from its junction with Blackbrook Avenue to its junction with Shetland Close.
The Order was effective from 24th June 2024, with the closure in place for 2 weeks, however due to issues on site the works were not complete therefore the closure will be back in place from 26th August 2024 for 4 weeks, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route and reason for the works remains the same as previously advertised.
The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to carry out main renewal works.
