Timely 32 run victory for Grappenhall

GRAPPENHALL celebrated a timely 32 run victory at home to Timperley after winning the toss and electing to bat first.

Joe Ashmore top scored with a crucial innings of 56 and skipper Ben Bodha was unbeaten on 36 as Grappers totalled 173 for seven – something of a recovery after a disastrous start that had them 2-2 with two key batsmen back in the pavilion.
But the visitors also got off to a bad start from which they never really recovered, Tom MacRury taking 4-41. They were all out for 142.

Warrington went down to a disappointing 55 run defeat at Northwich.
Choosing to field first they saw the home side hit 225 in 40 overs. Bradley McIntosh took 3-42 and Eswar Peddi 3-43.
Warrington were bowled out for 172 with Harley Barratt 53 and Charlie Jones 58 the main contributors.
Lymm Oughtrington Park won by six wickets in a low scoring match at home to Bowdon Vale.
The visitors were rolled-over for 69 with M Rafique takin g 5-25 and Anthony Spaven 3-34.
Lymm coasted to 72-4 with Antonelli Atwell hitting 33.
Appleton lost by six wickets at Cheadle Hulme Ladybrdige after being restricted to 118-9.
Glazebury lost by five wickets at home to Kerridge after being dismissed for 124, Anthony Meulman 56.
