Residential road set to close for up to three weeks at Penketh for power works

A residential road at Penketh is set to be closed for up to three weeks later this month to allow Scottish Power to carrout out works.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Pythian Crescent for its entire length.

The Order will be effective from 26th August 2024 for 3 weeks, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out network renewal and service transfer work.
