Latchford Albion experience the unforgiving side of rugby league with heavy defeat

LATCHFORD Albion found how unforgiving rugby league can be when they fell to a heavy 62-0 defeat to title challenging Orrell St James.

With a raft of injuries in the squad assistant coach Sean Bond (pictured), who had taken over head coach duties with Martyn Ellis on international duty, was forced into supplementing the squad with players from the Under 18’s squad.

There was no lack of effort, but Orrell showed why they are the current champions with a ruthless performance from a very experienced side who have played together for a number of years.

Albion were due to face Haresfinch this weekend, however the game will likely be rescheduled as a 4 point game later in the season to avoid fixture build ups at the end of the season.
