TWO residential streets in Warrington will face up to six weeks of traffic disruption with road closures from August 12, to allow Scottish Power to carry out works.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Hale Street from its junction with Forster Street to its junction with Hale Street Passageway Gable of 1; Cyril Street from its junction with Forster Street to its junction with Cyril Street Passageway Gable of 2.

The Order will be effective from 12th August 2024 for 6 weeks, as and when signed on site. The works will be carried out in phases with only one street closed at any one time. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative routes will be signed on site.

The closures are required to allow Scottish Power to carry out mains renewal and service transfer works.
