A SALES consultant currently based at Daresbury near Warrington is celebrating 25 years of service with Redrow NW.
Melanie Ferris, 54, who currently works at Redrow’s Daresbury Garden Village, joined the team at Redrow in 1999 and says a lot has changed since then.
“When I joined the team making a reservation took hours, everything was on paper, the site and landscaping plans were so big they wouldn’t fit on the table!” said Melanie.
“Today, everything is online, customers can view their plot virtually before a brick is even laid, they can see the site plans and see what roads will be near them and where their neighbours will be. The technology is incredible.”
Over the past 25 years, Melanie has worked on developments across the North West, including in Blackburn, Rochdale, Stoke on Trent, Congelton, Knutsford and Chester.
“I previously worked for a company that used to fit wardrobes for Redrow, I used to visit developments and see the Redrow team working away, and I would think I’d like to do that job,” said Melanie.
“A few years later I did just that and I’ve never looked back since.”
Melanie has also won a number of awards over her career, including being crowned Redrow’s sales consultant of the year three times.
Being named one of Redrow’s top sales consultants is based on several factors including providing a first-class service supporting customers through their buying journey and achieving business targets.
“I love our properties and I think we have the best product out there, so I couldn’t work for anyone else other than Redrow,” added Melanie.
“I love seeing a customer’s journey from the initial enquiry to passing over the keys, I still get a real buzz – even after all this time.”
