VILLAGERS put on an Olympic effort for the annual Croft Carnival as heavy showers turned into sunshine.

The annual event had an Olympic theme this year as the carnival parade set off from the Plough and through the village, followed by various activities on the local playing fields.

Winners of the famous egg-throwing competition were Stuart & Charlotte Beddall!
